For >25 data partners connected through a major DSP, we handled all data taxonomy updates. These updates happened regularly to remove old categories with no new data streaming in and to add new categories.
Real World Example:
For a large data partner in a Data Management Platform (DMP), the contracts on data categories end at different times. When a contract ends, our team inactivates that data contract on the backend of the DMP so it is no longer visible to the users. We then edit all of the existing data segments that utilize those categories to remove the inactive categories and replace them with similar, active categories. In some cases, we’re updating around a thousand data segments for one ended contract.
